Car driver wanted by police for failing to stop after hitting motorcyclist

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Chippenham on Thursday where a vehicle has failed to stop.

At approximately 7.15am, a man was knocked off his motorbike on the roundabout of the A350 that connects Malmesbury Road and West Cepen Way, by the BP garage.

It is reported that the other vehicle involved in the collision was a red coloured hatchback car which didn’t stop.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported and only minimal damage to the motorbike’s wing mirror, clutch pedal and brake lever.

The investigating officer is urging the driver of the car involved in this incident to get in contact with Wiltshire Police immediately.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from this time and area is asked to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54210045299.
