Victim sustained knife wound in Chippenham assault, Wiltshire Police confirm

The victim of serious assault in Chippenham suffered a knife wound.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed the man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital having been injured with a blade in a Rudman Park flat yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 12.30pm following a report of a disorder at the address.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, was initially arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). However, the offence was later recorded as actual bodily harm (ABH).

He has since been released under investigation.

The victim is understood to have been released from hospital and is recovering from his injury at home.
