Three arrests after police respond to 999 calls about violent fight in Swindon

Three people have been arrested following a violent fight in Swindon.

Police raced to the scene in Park South shortly before 11am this morning following 999 calls reporting a serious disorder.

On arrival at Evelyn House, in Royston Road, officers arrested three people – two women and one man – for various offences.

Despite reports on social media suggesting that someone had been knifed in the incident, Wiltshire Police has confirmed no one was stabbed.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault, affray and possession of cannabis. He has been taken to Great Western Hospital for treatment for facial injuries.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in custody at Gablecross Police Station.

A 24-year-old arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm (ABH) has been released with no further action.
