Detectives release images of suspects after attempted dognapping in Corsham

Wiltshire Police has issued two e-fit images of a man and woman officers would like to speak to in relation to the attempted theft of a dog in Corsham.

A woman was out walking her dog near the alleyway between Priory Street and Charles Street, at around 4.30pm on Thursday 25 March when an unknown man and woman approached and engaged her in conversation.

The woman suspect then tried to grab the dog; the owner managed to fight her off but was punched in the head by the perpetrator before the couple ran off empty handed.

“Perhaps you have seen them in the town or the wider local area?

“We are also renewing our appeal for anyone to come forward who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in this part of Corsham on Thursday 25 March.

“Also, we would like to hear from anyone who has a dash cam and may have been in the area at this time and so may have footage of the assault.”
