Man dies after being hit by train on railway tracks near Salisbury

A man had died after being hit by a train in the Salisbury area.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Skew Bridge at around 11.30pm last night following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Wiltshire Police, the British Transport Police (BTP) and South Western Ambulance Service were all in attendance late last night.

BTP has this morning confirmed a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Adding that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
