Closure order obtained in Salisbury after tenant cuckooed by drug dealers

A council has this morning successfully obtained a fourth closure order for a property in Salisbury following continued anti-social behaviour.

Swindon Magistrates’ Court granted Wiltshire Council’s application for a three-month partial closure order on a first-floor property in Bowes Lyon Court.

Solicitor Andrew Komosa told the court the flat’s tenant is a vulnerable drug user who is being cuckooed by local drug dealers, and previously a “dangerous drugs network”.

The police and council have received “a significant number of complaints”, Mr Komosa said. Adding that this application is the fourth made on the property over several years.

Only the tenant, and his partner, can access the building as of today. Anyone else entering the property – other than authorised professionals and emergency workers – may be arrested.
