Man pronounced dead by medics after collapsing in medical centre car park

A man’s died after collapsing in a medical centre car park this afternoon.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance, alongside local ambulance crews, responded to reports of a casualty suffering a medical episode outside the surgery shortly before 2pm.

Despite the medics’ best efforts to revive the man in the car park of Spa Medical Centre, in Snowberry Lane, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“At around 1.50pm today (08/03) we were called to the sudden death of a man in his 80s in a car park in Snowberry Lane, Melksham”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.

“His next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will now be prepared for HM Coroner.”
