Man caught driving under the influence of cannabis and cocaine in Devizes twice

A man’s been convicted of driving whilst under the influence of both cannabis and cocaine in Devizes on two separate occasions.

Police officers stopped a red Citroën C2 on Bath Road, at the junction with High Lawn, at around 6.30pm on 7 May 2020, before carrying out a drugs search.

The driver, then 38-year-old Scott Burt, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. He was later charged with driving under the influence of cannabis and Benzoylecgonine (usually found in the body after taking cocaine) after being caught for a second time just 13 days later on 22 May.
