An ambulance appears to be waiting near the Cricklade Road junction, possibly waiting for police officers to ensure the scene is safe before they attend to treat a casualty.

UPDATE 10AM: Wiltshire Police cannot provide any significant information on this incident due to an ongoing investigation.

A spokesperson told Wiltshire 999s: “This morning officers executed a warrant at an address in Beatrice Street, Swindon.

”This is part of an ongoing investigation and it would be inappropriate to comment further.”

The road has since reopened.
