Wiltshire Air Ambulance airlift casualty to hospital after single-vehicle crash

A casualty’s been airlifted to hospital following a crash on the A36.

Three fire crews – from Warminster and Westbury – were sent to the single-car collision between Crockerton and Heytesbury at around 1.20pm this afternoon.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove one patient, who was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The main road was closed for four hours, roepening shortly before 5.30pm.
