18-year-old man stabbed in stomach at Toothill Village Centre in Swindon

A man’s been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Toothill Village Centre.

Emergency services were called to the Stokesay Drive area at around 6.20pm this evening after an 18-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the stomach.

Immediate first aid was given to the casualty by an eyewitness before he was taken to Great Western Hospital for further treatment.

His injuries aren’t believed to be serious.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police told Wiltshire 999s: “At about 6.20pm this evening, we received a reports that an 18 year old man had been stabbed in the stomach.

“A witness at the scene was able to provide first aid and call an ambulance.

“The man has been transferred to Great Western Hospital to be checked for what is being described as a minor injury.”
