Body of missing man found in Marlborough woods after police search operation

The body of a missing man has been found in a woods following a search operation.

Police officers responded to reports of a concern for welfare after a 36-year-old was reported missing in the Marlborough area yesterday.

An immediate search operation was launched by Wiltshire Police, supported by various other resources including the police helicopter and Wiltshire Search and Rescue.

The man was found unresponsive in West Woods and pronounced dead at the scene.

The woodland was taped off as a crime scene for several hours whilst forensics and a private ambulance attended the incident.

On the other side of the county, in West Wiltshire, police and search teams are continuing to look for a 24-year-old man who went missing from Trowbridge on Monday.
