Multiple 999 calls alert firefighters major car blaze in Bradford On Avon

A car has been left completely destroyed after a fire in Bradford On Avon.

A fire crew from Trowbridge Fire Station responded to multiple 999 calls about the incident on Pound Street, near Culver Close Playing Field, at around 4.30pm today.

The blaze was extinguished by two firefighters using breathing apparatus and hose reels.

While on scene, the fire crew were verbally abused by members of the public.

Trowbridge Fire Station tweeted: “Understand the reason we blocked the road was so my crews could work safely. No need to abuse us, we’ve heard it all before!”
