Three more people have been arrested in connection with a mass brawl outside a pub in Swindon – bringing the total number of arrests to ten, Wiltshire Police says.

More than a dozen police officers raced to the scene at The Dockle Farmhouse on 17 July following reports that a large number of young males were involved in a fight both in the garden of the establishment and in Bridge End Road.

An 18-year-old man suffered a head injury in the altercation and in footage recorded of the incident by a passerby, a large knife is seen brandished by one of the males involved.

Last week, two 17-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man all from Swindon, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They have since been released under investigation. These latest arrests take the total of people arrested in connection with the incident to 10.

PC Lauren Eddy said: “The public have been extremely helpful in identifying individuals believed to be involved in the disorder and we are very grateful for the help and support.

“Violent disorder is an incredibly serious offence and this behaviour will not be tolerated. The disorder took place in a location that was busy with families and young children, as well as being on a busy road. The behaviour of a few has put many others at risk of coming to harm. Nobody should be made to fear for their safety and certainly not in these circumstances.”

If you were at the Dockle Farmhouse or were passing by the area between 7pm and 7.30pm on Friday July 17, call Wiltshire Police on 101 and quote crime reference number 54200070419. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
