Police close A361 after crash involving lorry and cars near Melksham

The A361 has been closed in both directions near Melksham following a serious crash.

Emergency services are attending the scene on the s-bend at Seend Head, between Seend and Semington. It’s believed to have happened at around 11.15am.

Police, fire and ambulance are all at the incident, which involves a lorry and three cars – a black Kia, a red Ford and a grey BMW. Specialist roads policing officers are also in attendance.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “At 11.25am today (12/08) we were called to a road traffic collision on the A361 near Seend.

“Officers are currently at the scene assisting paramedics and the fire service and the road is blocked.

“We would ask motorists to find alternative routes and avoid the area.”
