Armed police descend on Devizes as service station taped off as crime scene

A petrol station in Devizes has been taped off as a crime scene tonight as armed police descend on the town for the second time in a week.

Firearms officers and police dogs were seen in the area following an incident at Esso on The Nursery – which has since been cordoned off with police tape – at around 10.30pm.

Locals fear there has been an armed robbery at the garage, exactly one week after the gunpoint raid on a betting shop in the town centre last Thursday night.
