Man, 18, suffers head injury in brawl at The Dockle Farmhouse in Swindon

A man suffered a head injury during a brawl at a Swindon pub yesterday evening.

Police raced to The Dockle Farmhouse in Bridge End Road at around 7.20pm following reports of a large disorder – involving up to 20 people – breaking out there.

An 18-year-old male was assaulted by another male who is believed to be known to him. During the assault, he suffered an injury to his head and attended the Great Western Hospital.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We understand that there are a number of videos and photos of the incident circulating on social media – if you were involved and have not yet spoken to police, or if you witnessed the incident and have not yet reported it to police please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54200070419.”

The pub closed following the incident but is expected to reopen today.
