Trial date set for man accused of attempting to murder father in stabbing

A trial date has been set for a man accused of attempting to stab his father to death near Salisbury.

26-year-old Kyle Thomas, of Lapham Vale, was charged after Christopher Thomas was stabbed multiple times in an attack at his home in Porton on 2 June.

At Winchester Crown Court today, with Mr Thomas appearing via video link from prison where he is remanded, a plea hearing was arranged for 2 September, with a trial set for 23 November.
