Woman taken to place of safety after incident at Bradford on Avon pub

A woman’s been taken to a place of safety following a four-hour-long welfare incident.

Police officers were called to reports of concerns for the safety of a person on the premises of The Barge Inn, Bradford on Avon, at around 2.30pm yesterday afternoon.

Working with South Western Ambulance Service, emergency workers were able to engage with the woman before she was detained by police at just before 6.30pm.

She was taken into an ambulance parked in the pub car park and transported to a place of safety.
