Firefighters from across town battle serious house fire in Swindon

Firefighters from various stations across Swindon have attended a house fire tonight.

Emergency services were called to Oldenburg Close at around 9.45pm following reports of the blaze.

At least four fire crews were at the scene battling the flames.

Firefighters used hose reel jets to bring the fire under control and positive pressure ventilation (PPV) to remove smoke from the building.

An ambulance crew and paramedics officer were also at the scene, but it’s not thought anyone was injured in the incident.
