Air ambulance and fire service attend medical emergency in Trowbridge

Two air ambulances crews are attending a medical emergency in a Trowbridge street.

Emergency services, including a heavy rescue unit from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, are attending the incident in Downside Park, first arriving at around 11.30am

A number of South Western Ambulance Service vehicles, a rapid response vehicle from Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the Great Western Air Ambulance helicopter at the scene.

UPDATE 12.17PM: The patient has been transferred into the back of a land ambulance and is being taken to hospital on blue lights and sirens. The fire service has also begun to leave the scene.

UPDATE 2.24PM: A spokesperson from South Western Ambulance Service said: “We responded to a call at 10.30am about an incident at a private address in Trowbridge. We sent land, air and other specialist teams to attend. Due to patient confidentiality, we cannot provide any further information.”
