Three teenagers have been arrested after a robbery in Chippenham last night.
At around 10pm, police received a report that a teenage boy had been assaulted in the Patterdown area of the town by three males who then took his bicycle.
The males were seen to make off across fields towards Avenue La Fleche.
Neighbourhood policing officers, officers from the dog unit and our drone unit were deployed and searched the area. During the search close to the Flowers Yard area of the town, three males, matching our descriptions, were spotted by a member of the public who then helped direct officers to the group.
Three 16-year-old local males were arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken in to custody at Melksham. They have now been released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.
The bike was also recovered soon afterwards.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
