Police officer assaulted after being called to disorder at Melksham shop

A man’s been charged with assaulting an emergency worker after police were called to an incident at a shop in Melksham last Friday afternoon.

Police officers responded to a report of a disorder involving an intoxicated male at AVAD Convenience Store in Forest Road at just before 6pm on 22 May.

It’s claimed Salisbury man Jason Wynter, 49, smashed bottles of alcohol in the shop and then went on to damage a vehicle outside before he left the scene.
