Armed police detain men at gunpoint on roundabout near Coate Water

Armed police were seen detaining men at gunpoint on a roundabout in Swindon this evening.

Officers swarmed the junction near to the Coate Water Country Park entrance as they responded to the incident – thought to have involved weapons – at around 5pm.

At least two men could be seen lying on the floor with firearms pointed at them as the road roundabout was partly closed off by local police officers.
