Detectives were brought in to investigate the circumstances, but they don’t believe there were any suspicious circumstances around the death.

Welbeck Close, in the New College housing estate, was cordoned off as a crime scene until around 1pm, when forensic investigators and CID concluded their investigation work.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Although the death is currently being treated as unexplained, we do not believe any crime has taken place.

“A file will now be prepared on behalf of H M Coroner for Wiltshire. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
