Man arrested after Range Rover driver fails to stop for police in Devizes

A man’s been arrested after failing to stop for the police in Devizes on Friday evening.

An officer attempted to pull over the ‘modern red/burgundy Range Rover’ on Hillier Road, but the driver made off from at speed down London Road, Windsor Drive and towards Coate.

The vehicle was stopped at around 7pm, and a 27-year-old man was detained.

He’s currently in custody, held on suspicion of failing to stop and other driving offences.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information, if anyone witnessed the Range Rover driven dangerously about that time, please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54200041330.”
