Woman arrested after fire service respond to acid attack on man in Swindon

A woman’s been arrested following an acid attack on a man at a house in Swindon overnight.

Emergency services were called to Wilmot Close, The Prinnels, at around 10pm on Saturday.

Two fire crews, one from Swindon and one from Westlea, were sent to the scene for the hazmat incident alongside two senior fire officers.

A man, in his 40s, suffered injuries in the acid attack but they’re not thought to be life-threatening.

A woman, in her 50s, was arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and taken into custody.

Detectives from Swindon CID remained at the scene in the early hours of Sunday morning.
