Two air ambulances land at St Marks Recreation Ground

Two air ambulances landed in a Swindon park this afternoon.

Great Western Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Air Ambulance touched down at St Marks Recreation Ground, in Gorse Hill at around 3.30pm today, Sunday 7 May.

A man was found in the communal hallway of his flat by a neighbour, suffering from serious head injuries. He was moved to the street to medics could treat him.

Wiltshire Police say the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

Beatrice Street, of Cricklade Road, was closed to the public for some time due to a high number of ambulances crews attending the scene.

According to a local resident, at least four ambulances attended the scene.

Both air ambulances were seen leaving the park at around 5.15pm.
