Woman charged with drink driving after flipping car in Chippenham

A woman’s been charged with drink driving after flipping a car onto its roof in Chippenham.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Lowden at around 8pm last night following reports of a small black car having crashed into a parked vehicle and overturned.

37-year-old Natalie Traynor of Castlehaven Close, Chippenham, has been charged with one count of driving while over the legal alcohol limit, Wiltshire Police said.

She has been released on unconditional bail to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court in June.

The suspect was taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath as a precaution before being taken to custody. It’s understood she didn’t suffer any notable injures in the crash.

The road was closed in both directions for around two hours while 999 personnel – including two fire crews – worked at the incident, and recovery took place.
