A dog’s been killed in a road traffic collision on the A4 near Chippenham this morning.
It’s understood two dogs were being walked in the Corsham Court area when they left the field onto the busy main road where they were hit by a car.
One died at the scene, the other wasn’t injured and has been reunited with its owner.
“Please ensure that with the increase in dog walking that we are now seeing that you check your lead is in good order, and that dogs are kept on the lead when next to the highway”, a police spokesperson said.
