Detectives called in as middle-aged woman found dead at Swindon home

Detectives were called in last night after a woman was found dead at a home in Swindon.

Six police cars and two ambulances attended the scene in Gorse Hill at around 6.45pm yesterday following the discovery of a middle-aged woman’s body at an address.

A crime scene investigator was also working at the scene alongside CID.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called just before 7pm yesterday (03/12) to the sudden death of a woman in her 40s on Tydeman Street, Swindon.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

“A file will be prepared on behalf of H M Coroner for Wiltshire.”
