Military police search under garden decking in Katrice Lee investigation

Military police officers working on the investigation into the disappearance of Katrice Lee are searching underneath decking in the house of a suspect in Swindon.

The military arrived back at the home in Abbey View Road at around 9am this morning, lugging large black cases and crates into the back garden via the front door.

Since, officers have been using an electronic device to scan the ground of the garden — though it’s not clear what this device is used to detect.

One officers appears to be using a screwdriver to dismantle the decking, and it’s thought they may take it up completely to search underneath.

The world’s media have descended on the incident, with numerous camera crews in the area.
