Wiltshire Search and Rescue dispatched to assist in hunt for girl, 9

Wiltshire Search and Rescue have been stood down after starting their journey to Shropshire this evening to assisted with a major search operation.

This evening, a nine-year-old girl was reported missing from her home near Ludlow.

West Mercia Police released an urgent appeal following her disappearance, and search and rescue teams from around the country rushed the scene to assist.

However, an hour into their journey, Wiltshire Search and Rescue were stood down on hearing that the missing child has been found safe and well at around 10.30pm.
