A teenage boy has mowed down a pedestrian while driving his Nissan Micra in Swindon.
Specialist critical care paramedics from Wiltshire Air Ambulance raced to the scene in Commercial Road at around 3pm this afternoon following reports of the serious crash.
A man, thought to be in his 50s, was hit by the vehicle outside Consol walk-in spa.
The driver of the car, said to be a 18-year-old male, was questioned in the back of a police car at the scene before he was allowed to leave. He’s not believed to have committed any offences.
Roads policing officers attended the scene and carried out an investigation, but told Wiltshire 999s that the victim’s injuries aren’t as serious as first thought. They were taken to hospital.
The road reopened at around 4.40pm.
