Search and rescue volunteers looking for Robert Dunn need local hotels’ help

Wiltshire Search and Rescue are appealing for help from local hotels as dozens of volunteers from across the United Kingdom descend on Savernake Forest in Marlborough.

Around one hundred specially trained volunteers are searching for 30-year-old Robert Dunn, who has been missing since last Wednesday, 29 May.

A van belonging to Robert was found in the forest area in recent days.

He is described as white, with short light brown hair. It is not known what he is currently wearing, but we believe he may be wearing either a grey vest or pink t-shirt.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Search and Rescue said: “We are being supported by Lowland Rescue teams from all over the UK. Marlborough Scouts are already providing basic accommodation, but if any hotels/ B&B’s are willing to give these lifesaving volunteers a room for the night so they can shower and rest between deployments, we’d be very grateful.”

Anyone who can offer support should email [email protected].

Anyone with information on Robert’s whereabouts should call police on 101 immediately.
