Teenage cyclist injured after hit-and-run collision in Melksham

A teenage boy has been injured after a hit-and-run in Melksham yesterday evening.

The 13-year-old was riding his bicycle along King Street at around 8.55pm on Saturday, when he was struck by a car.

He suffered a knee injured and shock, according to Wiltshire Police.

A force spokesperson said: “The vehicle is believed to be Silver in colour with the registration plate starting with an ‘S’.

“Anyone who may have seen this incident on Saturday or was in the area around this time and has seen a vehicle as described should contact 101 quoting reference 54190023774 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 5550111.”
