Police called to Boxing Day assault involving knife in Swindon

A man’s been hospitalised after an assault involving a knife in Swindon in the early hours of Boxing Day.

Police Officers swarmed Penhill at around 1am this morning following reports of an attack on Ramsbury Avenue.

Two people, thought to be known to each other, were involved in the incident.

A 23-year-old man was taken to Great Western Hospital with a cut wound to his head, Wiltshire Police confirmed.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
