Construction worker airlifted to hospital after wall collapsed on him in Box

A construction worker has been airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured by a wall that collapsed in Box.

The air ambulance landed near the scene on A365 Devizes Road at around 3.30pm this afternoon, with police and ambulance vehicles parked in the road causing some traffic delays in the area.

The man, in his 50s, has been taken to Southmead Hospital by air ambulance for treatment for injuries to his pelvis, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed.

Police remain at the scene tonight, and it’s understood the incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
