Father killed in crash named locally as physiotherapist Chris Kempson

A father who died when he was hit by a car in Chippenham has been named locally.

Physiotherapist Chris Kempson, owner of the CK Clinic on Bumpers Farm, was fatally injured in the early hours of Sunday morning, while walking along Lowden Hill.

The crash happened at around 3.30am and involved a black Vauxhall Vectra, understood to be a taxi.

Chris was rushed to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, but he sadly died from his injuries.

A police spokesperson said: “His family are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

“We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time of the collision who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle.

“Please call 101 and quote log number 64 of November 11.”
