Air ambulance crews treat woman injured in red light district incident

A woman has been seriously injured in an incident in Swindon’s red light district.

Emergency services were called to the scene on County Road at around 9pm this evening, where it’s understood a female casualty was treated at the roadside.

Two air ambulance crews, travelling in rapid response vehicles, and doctors from SWIFT Medics were called to the scene to assist local ambulance crews already at the scene.

THE CASUALTY WAS TREATED BEHIND BLANKETS

A crime scene has been put in place on County Road in both directions between the Magic Roundabout and Manchester Road. It’s expected to remain in place until tomorrow morning at the earlier.
