16-year-old arrested following fight involving machetes in Swindon

A teenager has been arrested following a fight involving machetes in Swindon.

A crime scene was put in place for four hours after the serious incident behind Clive Parade, on Cricklade Road, at around 3pm last Tuesday, 23 October.

Three days later, on Friday 26 October, a 16-year-old boy from Penhill – who was wanted for questioning about the fight and the dangerous driving of a moped – was arrested in Pinehurst.

A PCSO GUARDS THE SCENE ON CLIVE PARADE

During a search when he was arrested, the boy was found in possession of cannabis. Subsequently, he was charged with possession of cannabis, inconsiderate driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance.

He has been released on unconditional bail. Due to his age, the suspect cannot be named.
