Half-naked man arrested after drop-kicking car waiting at traffic lights

A half-naked man has been arrested in Swindon town centre after drop-kicking a car.

It happened outside the Jury’s Inn on Fleming Way at around 8.15pm, while the silver Vauxhall Zafira was stationary waiting at the traffic lights towards Princes Street.

The topless chap flew through the air and booted the car, subsequently landing on the floor. He immediately got up and skipped away from the scene into the town centre.

The fleeing suspected was collared by officers inside the Whalebridge car park on Islington Street and placed into a police car under arrest on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.

He was later transferred to a police van and taken to Gablecross Police Station.

The Vauxhall suffered a large dent in the front passenger seat door.
