Man, 23, found dead in town centre ‘not part of homeless community’

EMERGENCY SERVICES AT THE SCENE THIS MORNING

A 23-year-old man who was found dead in Swindon town centre at the weekend isn’t thought to be part of the homeless community, according to street sources.

The man’s body was discovered outside a block of flats on Wellington Street, a stone’s throw from Swindon Railway Station, at around 10am on Sunday 12 October.

On speaking with members of the homeless community in the area, it is clear that no one knows the identity of the deceased, with them confirming that no one they know is missing.

A FORENSIC TENT WAS ERECTED AT THE SCENE

Wiltshire Police has confirmed his death is not being treated as suspicious.
