Flowers laid in tribute after elderly man pulled from Coate Water lake dies

Flowers have been laid in tribute to a man who died after being pulled from a lake in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to Coate Water Country Park in Swindon at around 10.15am, following reports of a serious medical incident near to the Pitch and Putt course.

On arrival, 999 crews discovered a man, in his 80s, in cardiac arrest. Paramedics gave CPR at the scene, but the elderly man later passed away in hospital.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared on behalf of the Coroner. His family have been informed.”
