Wiltshire 999s’ founder has hotel fire photograph featured in new wallpaper collection

A photograph taken by Wiltshire 999s’ founder has been added to an emergency services wallpaper mural collection on Canvas Art Rocks, an international wall art company.

Journalist and photographer, Daniel Jae Webb, took the photo back in July 2016 when the derelict Madison Hotel in Swindon went up in flames following what was believed to be an arson attack.

The photo captured the intensity of the blaze while a firefighter – who was based at Swindon Community Fire Station but recently retired – using an aerial platform and hose to tackle the fire.

Swindon-based Acres Retail, which owns Canvas Art Rocks, asked to feature the photo in their emergency services collection as they launch their new product – wallpaper murals.

Company director Tony Acres, 46, who lives in North Swindon, said: “We’re really excited to feature this brilliant photograph of the Madison Hotel fire by Daniel Jae Webb.

“While many Swindon residents will know where the fire took place, the photo doesn’t include the hotel’s branding which means it’s relevant to anyone who would like a thrilling and dramatic fire-related wallpaper mural in their home, office, or indeed, fire station.

“We’re really excited to have launched our wallpaper murals this week, it’ll diversify the product range offered by Canvas Art Rocks.

“Our wallpaper murals are printed to the measurements provided by the customer online, meaning their wallpaper will fit their chosen wall perfectly. Our easy-to-use system embedded into our website calculates the exact cost of the order by square metres, making the pricing transparent.”
