999 teams rush to incident at Chippenham shopping centre

999 teams rushed to an incident at a Chippenham shopping centre today (Wednesday).

Police and the ambulance service were called to the toilets in Emery Gate shortly before 4pm.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was also tasked, landing in Monkton Park as a team of critical care medics walked to the scene.

A woman, aged in her 30s, was treated for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Wiltshire Police confirmed the incident was “mental health-related”.
