77-year-old cyclist dies after being hit by a van in village near Melksham

A 77-year-old cyclist’s died after being hit by a van in a village near Melksham.

Emergency services were called to Seend at around 2.30pm on Monday following reports of a push bike versus grey Vauxhall Combo van collision near Bell Hill.

The male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The unnamed road between Seend and Worton was closed for approximately five hours while collision investigation work was undertaken by Tri-force Roads Policing Unit.
