75-year-old woman dies after car crashes into Marlborough Town Hall

UPDATED 5.15PM: A 75-year-old woman died in a crash in Marlborough town centre this afternoon.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed in the area for its critical care medics to treat the casualty after her car was involved in a collision with the Town Hall in Kingsbury Street at around 1.45pm.

The road is closed as forensic collision investigators work at the scene.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “A silver Ford Mondeo collided into Marlborough Town Hall on the High Street shortly before 1.45pm.

“Sadly, the driver of the car, a 75-year-old woman, died shortly after the collision. Our thoughts are with her friends and family at this time.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact us via 101 and quote log number 195.”
