48-year-old man arrested for assault after stabbing on doorstep of Swindon flat

A 48-year-old man has today been arrested on suspicion of assault after stabbing Swindon.

Police were called to the incident in Crawford Close, Freshbrook, at just after 12pm today following a 31-year-old man being knifed in the neck and hit with a brick.

He was treated by local ambulance crews and Wiltshire Air Ambulance critical care medics before being taken to Great Western Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 48-year-old local man on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH); he is currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
