29-year-old Trowbridge man charged with offences after police chase

A man’s been charged with multiple offences after a police chase through Trowbridge.

The motorcyclist failed to stop for police officers and a pursuit was authorised late on Monday night, ending in Leap Gate at after midnight.

One local resident reported seeing at least six police cars and 16 police officers in the street as the chase came to an end and the suspect was arrested.

Timothy Ryan, aged 29, from Helmsley Road, Trowbridge has been charged with dangerous driving, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by an officer and using a vehicle without insurance.

He has been released on unconditional bail to attend court at a later date.
